Case Study

The client was aware that despite encouraging a progressive attitude within the company there were certain employees who still behaved inappropriately at work. The aim of this course was to maximise the effectiveness of the teams by increasing awareness of the consequences of certain words and actions.

We used actors to play out work place scenarios from drunken conversations at the firm’s Christmas party to a senior executive abusing the IT support when her computer crashed.
The group then suggested different courses of action for the parties and the actors played them out allowing us to discuss the potential emotional, commercial and legal implications of their choices.

The course emphasised the importance of the other party’s perception of certain words and actions as opposed to the meaning or intent of the person delivering them. This made it impossible for any member of the team to deny the benefits of positive behaviours and the cost of inappropriate behaviours not only to their colleagues and to the company but to themselves personally.
